Facilities

Five modern accommodation cabins:

• with energy-efficient design for self-regulating heating and cooling
• each sleeping up to nine occupants (eight plus one)
• incorporating composting toilets
• hot & cold water with water-efficient taps and shower
• with 240v power (but not suitable for hairdryers or heaters)

Dining hall:

• with modern kitchen managed by the Centre
• electric dish washing facilities
• with energy-efficient design for comfortable heating and cooling
• including whiteboard for classroom/conference use

Gundoo Spirit:

Piloted and maintained by the Centre, this modern purpose built catamaran has been designed for student transport and curriculum support.

Gundoo Spirit is in survey for 50 people and is available for both day and night excursions.

Gundoo Spirit also has the capacity to transport groups of up to 30 people to the outer reef - including Northwest & Herron Island.

Also:

• laundry facilities managed by the Centre
• dry laboratory with ten dissection microscopes
• wide range of curriculum resources, lesson and activity materials
• administration and first aid centre
• permanent, trained staff available at all times for emergencies
