Remote Camera Trial

Queensland Parks and Wildlife researchers are trialling a high definition camera system on North Keppel Island. The remote technology is designed to collect more consistent bird count data. The aim is to trial the technology before moving it to Michaelmas Cay where bird populations will be monitored throughout the year. Visitors to the centre can obtain the latest updates from technical advisor,Tom Sjolund, who visits the island regularly.
